Sinclair VPS® (Variable Print System) continues to prove itself as the optimal print-on-demand system in the fresh produce labeling industry. 

With installations in the US and Chile, packer/shippers are using Sinclair VPS to print variable information ---including DataBar codes, PLU numbers and varietal information directly onto labels running at speed on the sizer.  Packer/ shippers have found that with Sinclair VPS, they only need to inventory one ‘blank’ label, rather than multiple pre-printed PLU-specific labels. 

This provides a critical opportunity to reduce inventory carrying costs by stocking fewer types of labels (or multiple PLUs) and replacing them with just one label ‘blank’ to support the packing operation.
