Hear from Sinclair’s logistics team

Sinclair is more than just labels. We go above and beyond to provide support, service and create a lasting partnership with our customers. You tell us your objectives and we’ll customize an entire solution to fit your operational, geographic and business requirements.

Today we hear from our Logistics Manager Luke Collins and how his team contribute to this:

How does your team help support Sinclair?
The logistics team’s primary responsibility is to ensure labels, machines, spares, and additions are shipped on time, in full, and meet the customer promise date. We ensure the most cost-effective method of transport is chosen to meet the customers’ expectations.

The logistics team also arranges all machine returns, including organizing the machines to be sent to our external packaging company to be prepared for the relevant mode of transport. All orders are tracked, giving customers peace of mind.
With warehouses throughout the world and over 6000 shipments in 2024 it certainly keeps us busy!

With so many shipments how do you ensure quality throughout the logistics process?
Each of our logistics suppliers are vetted both financially and through our quality team ensuring they are at a minimum ISO 9001 approved meaning they have a quality assurance accreditation. We have regular meetings with them making sure they’re hitting relevant KPIs. (everything from on-time delivery to carbon footprint goals).

Again, this can give customers complete peace of mind they are receiving the best quality service from Sinclair.

What are your biggest challenges?
Our biggest challenges are global supply chain and geo-political distributions that are out of our control. This has included everything from the Suez Canal being blocked to strikes across the world.

However, as a team we thrive in finding ways to mitigate these and routes to navigate them whilst still providing Sinclair’s high level of delivery and customer satisfaction.
