Sinclair shortlisted for Sustainability Initiative of the Year at Grocer Gold Awards 2025

We are proud to announce that Sinclair has been shortlisted for the Grocer Gold Awards 2025 in the category of Sustainability Initiative of the Year (Products & Services). This recognition highlights our commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility through the development of our T55 compostable fruit label.

Leading the way in with the future of fruit labeling

The T55 label is a first-of-its-kind solution in the fresh produce industry – certified as a ‘finished product’ for both home and industrial composting. It meets globally recognized composting standards including EN 13432, AS 5810, and NFT 51-800, and is certified by TÜV AUSTRIA, DIN CERTCO, and ABA. Designed to perform throughout the challenging conditions in the supply chain it has performance equivalent to a conventional fruit label for automated, high-speed application in produce packinghouses.

“We are thrilled to introduce the highest-performing compostable fruit sticker certified by TÜV AUSTRIA, ABA and DIN CERTCO as a ‘finished product’. This is a unique achievement, and the industrial and home certification is a testament to our relentless pursuit of innovation and our dedication to supporting the fresh produce industry with environmentally conscious solutions,” commented Colin Woodward, CEO of Sinclair. “We believe this compostable label sets a new standard in produce packaging, reducing plastic waste and helping create a more sustainable future.”
